Do you know what kind of equipment uses professional club DJ in 2011? If not, then enjoy this reading. Most likely they will use the following things…

• Professional sound recordings (for example: compact Discs, media files and vinyls.)
• Combination of two devices is a must (only one, if playback is digital) to make audio recordings, to make a continuous playback of remix (for example: CD players, media files, MP4 and record players)
• PRO Sequencer which can easily mix different MIDI tracks with Digital music
• Sound system for broadcasting the audio recordings (for example: PAS system or a radio broadcast)
• A DJ mixer, which is an electronic (usually 4-channeled) audio mixer which is attached with a crossfader in order to smoothly go from one mix to another.
• Headphones is a must! They are used to listen to one recording while the other recording is being played to the people in the club, or to listen to both recordings contemporary.
• There is always option for microphone, so the DJ can introduce himself/herself or the music.

Other equipment can be included to the simple DJ setup, providing unique and neat sound manipulations. These devices contain:

There are several things to get yourself more famous than you already are. Let say you have been making music for several years, but yet you do not get enough money from it. People are thinking that this is your hobby, but you want to move on. In this case I would suggest you to do a proper portfolio. Make yourself a YouTube channel or upload your best dj mixes/ audio edits to some of these popular music portals. Soon, you will be amazed how many people are going to to listen your music. In addition you will get very motivational comments. It’s also possible that some local club will contact you and invite you to the club. Once you are playing music in some pub, bar or club you already have had a success! If you want to raise your level, make more music (remix latest hits) and send them to popular clubs all around the world. Furthermore, try to contact with other DJ’s, this way you are able to mix together with them. And yes, this will BOOST your reputation and people will start to know you more.

Start freelancing in your friends house parties. Be very open minded and satisfy the audience, but never let anyone sit on you. You must be strong, you have to improve your music daily. For example, read the music news, since knowing the latest news makes you more comfortable with other DJ’s. Try to advertise your music through different video websites. Add your music to everywhere!

Make yourself a website. Every known DJ has his own webpage, where people can ask different questions or send you “love” messages and so on. For example, David Guetta has this, Tiesto has it. Even 50-cent has it, so yes, try to make it happen as soon as possible. If you do not have enough money, then you can ask your IT – friends to do it.

So for conclusion. I would mention 3 keywords : ADVERTISING, COMMUNICATING and IMPROVING. All the DJ work spins around these three words, so when your main goal is to get famous and well known, follow my tips. Oh, and I almost forget to mention that you need the best dj software available!

I’m starting this post, because many of our website visitors are telling me that why should they pay 39.95$ for DubTurbo if they can download free software from internet.  I made some great cons and pros regarding DJ Software so feel free to read.

Free DJ Software CONS

• It’s absolutely free! You can get tons of different beat makers from internet.
• If you don’t like the downloaded software you can simply uninstall it and go find another one.
• You can find some golden nuggets from internet, but they all have some kind of 14-day trial and after that you have to pay additional 200+$ for using it more.

Free DJ Software PROS

• I have tested many of the free dj wares during many years and I really haven’t found a decent one. Most of them are waste of time, because you are not able to make decent music with them.
• Some of them contain VIRUSES, which might harm your computer. For example, few years ago I downloaded some “Serious DubMaker XXL” and my computer went completely crazy. It started deleting files and my anti-virus couldn’t do anything.
• Many of the free music wares doesn’t have any features at all. Furthermore, most of them does not have any simple beats for beginners and rookies and from my experiences you shouldn’t download this kind of stuff.
• They are overwhelming your computer. If your “Free DJ Software” is opened you basically cannot do anything more. When I’m mixing music with DubTurbo I love to speak ppl via msn or surf on the internet or check DJ forums, but with free Dj Software you are not able to that, because most of them are taking too much RAM and your computer goes extremely SLOW.

For conclusion I would say that, you should better start off with paid dj-gear. DubTurbo is an excellent product for beginners and amateurs, since it has step-by-step tutorials as I said before. Moreover, it’s work really smooth on your computer and you can do many things at the same time. Don’t RISK with your computer and choose the certified software. If you are thinking about torrent’s then forget it. In 20oo many people downloaded cracked ware, but in 2011 these times are most likely over. In this post I will point out the main pros and cons about our Best DJ Software contest winner – DubTurbo. That’s just my honest opinion so please let me begin…

DubTurbo minuses: 

This software previous version (DubTurbo 1.0) was a bit “slow” and “buggy”. It used to crash on laptops, especially on Macbooks. However, the issue has been removed and the DubTurbo 2.0 version is completely safe and bug free. Another thing is the interface – might be too confusing for older people (50+), but after week of using it everything should be understandable. The biggest minus of this DJ software is that it’s way too addictive. When I first downloaded DubTurbo I spent hours and hours mixing different music and I completely lost myself to this program, but if it’s not a big “deal” for you then you should take this as a advantage.

DubTurbo pluses:

Actually this DJ software has many great things to mention, but I will only point out some of them. If you really want to know more about this then simply read our review. The first thing that comes to my mind about DubTurbo is the support and step by step tutorials on “how to make beats”. Furthermore, hundreds of features and weekly updated add-ons. Also, the great thing about DubTurbo is the HIGH QUALITY samples that come with this product. For conclusion I will point out the following:

• - Very cheap price
• - Hundreds of features
• - Great outlook  (clean and neat)
• - Extremely fast performance
• - Great Help and Support center + tutorial videos
• - It’s the most suitable software for rookies and amateurs who are just starting their music career

To summarize this post, I would like to say that DubTurbo is not bad DJ Software. I would say it’s “great” and you should not miss that offer. Furthermore, if you are willing to take the time to success, then I’m more than sure that in someday you will be a PRO DJ.

 How To Start Your Music Career

If you already installed DubTurbo, you might want to know how to promote and educate yourself as a DJ. Many people who are just starting off their DJ career are asking me common things about DJing, but mostly: “How to be successful DJ?”.  So I will make a little guide for beginners so you would be not afraid to start off your music career.

First of all, what do you need for mixing music? My answer would be: NOTHING. Nowadays everyone can be a DJ, since music mixing can be done from your home computer/laptop or even mobile phone. The only thing you need is a decent dj mixer, which is DubTurbo (it can be downloaded from our site, just click on the discount banner). Next thing you need is a motivation. Whether you want to be a professional DJ or you take music mixing as a hobby, you still need a little motivation. If you don’t want to make music, then simply you are not able to create music.

What more? You have to listen music and sometimes you have to go with the flow. I would recommend you to listen radio every day so you are able to know what’s “pop and hot” today. Furthermore, it would be good if you are a fan of some genre, for example hip-hop and rnb or techno and trance.  When I started making music I was a huge fan of 50-cent and I listen rap music on daily basis, even my first mix was 50Cent – Candy Shop.

It’s very good when you have some kind of music taste or sense. I don’t say you have to have A+’s at your music class, because I didn’t had either, but it’s great when you know how to make music. However that’s not relevant since even a dummy can make music with DubTurbo.

To educate you and give you some facts I just made another post for you. This time I’m talking about DJ equipment history in 20th century.

1800 – 1920

• Leon Scott invented the first device for recording sounds, but unfortunately it was without playback.
• The world’s very first DJ was Ray Newby – It was in 1906 and in that time he was only 16 years old.
• “live” broadcast became famous in 1910 and in 1920 people danced with jukebox music.

1930 – 1950

• Walter Winchell made the term called “disc jockey”.
• Jimmy Savile hosted the world first DJ Party in 1943 by playing jazz music.
• First discotheque was opened in France, 1947. This was the time when discos became popular in all over the Europe.

1960 – 1970

• Discotheques and nightclubs grew more and more in the Europe and US.
• Rudy Bozak’s famous  CMA-10 Mixer was available on the market
• Beatmatching was popularized by F.Grasso in the Sanctuary nightclub (New York)
• Disco bible was published (songs listed by BPM)

1980

• MTV was launched on the cable television
• House and electro music became very popular, it was promoted by DJ Larry Levan
• First Hip-Hop song reached to top 10 of “BillBoard Hot” – (We walk this way)

1990
